Have you always wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater? If you want to try scuba diving, but aren’t quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, Discover Scuba Diving is for you

PADI Scuba Diver

$ 325

A subset of the PADI Open Water Diver course, this is perfect for those short on time who still want to earn a dive certification. The PADI Scuba Diver rating is an excellent stepping stone toward full Open Water certification.

Course Components:

3 Knowledge Development sessions (classroom + evening reading)*
3 Confined Water Sessions to practice core skills
2 Open Water Certification Dives (max 40 ft) from our dive boats

Course Length: 2–3 full days (8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.), depending on comfort and progress

PADI eLearning Option: Complete the Knowledge Development portion before arrival using PADI’s eLearning module (12–15 hours, paid directly to PADI). Once here, finish the course with Barefoot Divers for $270 in 2 days.

$10 Marine Park Fee

Certification Restrictions: Divers must be accompanied by a dive professional and stay within 40 ft depth limits.

PADI Open Water Diver

The PADI Open Water Diver course is the world’s most recognized scuba certification and the gateway to exploring the underwater world with confidence.

Course Components:

5 Knowledge Development sessions (classroom + evening reading)*
5 Confined Water Sessions to master diving skills**
4 Open Water Certification Dives (max 60 ft) from our dive boats

Course Length: 4–5 full days (8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.), depending on progress and comfort

PADI eLearning Option: Complete theory in advance via PADI’s eLearning (12–15 hours). For more details on this option, please email us directly at info@barefootdivers.com. Finish certification with Barefoot Divers for $395 in 2–3 days.

PADI Referral Option: If you’ve completed classroom and confined water training at home, finish certification here with Barefoot Divers.

4 Open Water Certification Dives over 2 half days (8:30 and 10:30 a.m.)
Rate: $295
Bring your PADI Referral paperwork—if it’s incomplete, we cannot proceed until it’s corrected.

Upgrade from Scuba Diver: Certified PADI Scuba Divers can upgrade to Open Water Diver in just 1–2 days.

Once certified, PADI Open Water Divers can dive anywhere in the world to a maximum depth of 60 feet.

Reminder

No prior experience with scuba diving is required, however there are several prerequisites to participate in Discover Scuba & beginner courses:

Minimum age of 10 years. While students 10-14 complete the same course requirements for Scuba Diver or Open Water, they receive a PADI Junior certification with some restrictions
Adequate swimming skills
Good physical health

A confidential PADI medical questionnaire must be completed before participating. The purpose of the questionnaire is to find out whether there is a preexisting condition that may affect your safety while diving, in which case you must seek the advice of your physician and receive their clearance prior to engaging in dive activities

PADI Bubblemaker Experience for Kids

$ 100 | 1 Hour

Children as young as 8 can have the thrill of trying scuba diving in our pool, staying at a depth of less than 6 feet of water. Your child should be comfortable in the water, but doesn’t need to be a super swimmer.
